Today’s finish is place mats. Each place mat has 3 shirts on it, from a pattern by Carolyn Friedlander.
All the plaid and stripe fabrics are rescued from shirts at various resale shops in my area. Is it a concern that I found myself eyeballing men’s shirts at a recent event and thinking how great those fabrics would be in a quilt?
Here is the post where I proposed completing these place mats by September 30.
Way to go! And they are so cute!

Those shirts are the cutest. There’s a man in my church who wears shirts that I would love to chop up for patchwork. Every time I see him I am eyeing up his shirts. Perhaps I should explain in case his wife takes it the wrong way!! On behalf of the 2017 global FAL hosts, thank you for participating in this quarter’s finish along.
