I have mentioned before that I don’t like to know the time during yoga as it distracts me in ways I don’t appreciate.
This has led to my not wearing a watch during class. It is too tempting to check the time, and is not how I want to shape my yoga practice.
This evening, I was rushing to yoga and forgot to take off my watch. I was reminded of this, rather abruptly, when the buckle got caught in my hair during a posture with an elbow in the air and the other hand meeting part way up the back. So, I took it off and tossed it on the floor.
Later I noticed that it landed in such a way that I could not see the time. This is particularly apt as time challenges are why I was rushing to class, two of my jobs were demanding a lot of my time today. I even got a call from one of them as I was leaving yoga class.
Stay away, time. Do not think you are always in control.
